Screentip popups in Teams

Every action in Teams seems to generate a Screentip box. I am looking how to disable as I couldn't find it in settings.

It firstly is distracting, but it is also actively blocking me at times from doing things quickly. If I want to reorder the line items and the box is blocking where I am trying to drag from, I end up highlighting all the text across box rather than actually doing what I want. I am using the Teams App.

    Dear @Andrew Franklin,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, you wonder how to disable screentip/tooltip popups (such as “Drag to reorder this item”) in the Teams desktop app.

The popup you are seeing (e.g.,“Drag to reorder this item”) is a built‑in tooltip/teaching callout in Microsoft Teams (Planner/Tasks experience).

These screentips are part of the user interface design in Teams. They appear when hovering over certain elements to guide usage. There is currently no option in Teams settings or admin controls to disable these tooltips completely.

If this behavior significantly impacts your workflow, I sincerely recommend you go to Feedback community to vote similar feedback, or you can submit your idea via Ideas · Community. The product team is in charge of the site, and they constantly check customer reviews and feedback, the higher votes, the more attention the related team will pay on. A lot of the features are developed and improved based on customer feedback.
