To download and install Office 2024 (Microsoft 365 or Office 2024) on Windows 11:
- Make sure the PC meets the system requirements (see the system requirements link in the referenced article).
- If this is the first time installing and a product key was purchased, redeem it first:
- To download the installer:
- Go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft/apps.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account (for home) or work/school account (for business) associated with Office 2024.
- If signed in with a Microsoft account: on the Microsoft 365 Apps page, select Install apps, then Install.
- If signed in with a work or school account: follow the prompts shown after sign-in to complete download.
- Run the installer:
- In the browser, choose Run, Setup, or Save File depending on the browser.
- Approve the User Account Control prompt.
- Wait until the message “You're all set! Office is installed now” appears, then select Close.
- Activate Office 2024:
- Open the Start menu, type Word, and open it.
- Accept the license agreement; Office activates using the signed-in account.
If there is no option to install after signing in, check that the correct account and license are being used as described in the “Learn more about product keys, assigned licenses…” section of the referenced article.
