No completely wrong, Airpods are completely not usable in teams, in every other program they run fine. I restartet them a lot of times, and reconnected them also, I also deleted the bluetooth edits and reinstalled everythign, even Teams was deleted and reinstalled.

This was done several times it didn´t changed anything, everythign was functioning well until start of this week. I have normal sound in every other program then Teams. The whole internet is complaining about this problem with teams. Even IT can´t help with this problem. It´s definately a software problem and definately from microsoft.

    Hello @Krause, Daniel

I understand from your message that everything was working fine before, but now others cannot hear you when you speak.

To understand and double-check this issue, might I confirm a few points?

    • May I confirm that only users with AirPods are encountering the issue, while others using different headset devices can hear you normally?
    • Is the issue happening within the same meeting, and does it suddenly affect only users who are using AirPods?
    • Can you try creating a new meeting to see if the issue continues?
    • Can you also test the microphone in other apps outside Teams to double‑check?

If you still need my assistance, please come back with screenshots or any additional details so I can review it again and see if there’s anything more I can help you with.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Follow these steps to troubleshoot AirPods (or any Bluetooth headset) not working in Microsoft Teams:

    1. Verify Teams is using the correct audio devices
      • Before a meeting:
        1. In Teams, select Settings and more (⋯) > Settings.
        2. Select Devices.
        3. Under Audio > Audio settings, make sure the AirPods are selected in the Speaker dropdown.
        4. Select Make a test call and follow the instructions from Test Call Bot to confirm both speaker and microphone work.
      • During a meeting:
        1. In the meeting window, select the dropdown arrow next to Mic.
        2. Select More actions > Audio settings.
        3. Under Speaker, ensure the AirPods are selected and not muted.
    2. Check that the AirPods are the system output device
      • On Windows, select the Audio icon on the right side of the taskbar and confirm the Bluetooth headset is selected as the output device.
      • If using a Surface or other Bluetooth headset, make sure the correct profile is selected (for calls, the hands‑free profile; for music, the stereo profile).
    3. Reconnect or re‑pair the AirPods
      • If the AirPods do not appear in Teams or in the system audio list, put them back in the case, open the lid, and re‑enter pairing mode, then reconnect them in Windows Bluetooth settings.
      • If they still do not work, remove the device from Bluetooth settings and pair again.
    4. Check for Bluetooth/device issues outside Teams
      • Confirm the AirPods work in other apps (music, browser, etc.).
      • If there is no audio system‑wide or volume is stuck muted, a full device restart has resolved similar audio issues for some users.
    5. Update software and firmware
      • Ensure the latest version of Teams is installed and that the operating system is up to date.
      • If using Surface Headphones or other Microsoft audio devices, check for firmware updates in the relevant app.

If audio still fails only in Teams after these steps, test with a different headset on the same device and with the AirPods on a different device. This helps isolate whether the issue is with Teams on that machine, the Bluetooth stack, or the AirPods themselves.
