Additional features, tools, or issues not covered by specific Microsoft Advertising categories
Domain and creative blocklists for Microsoft Advertising / Xandr are managed only by the Anti-Malvertising and support teams; domain associations or block status cannot be changed directly from the front end.
To request review and potential removal of a domain from a Microsoft Advertising/Xandr blocklist or association:
- Open a support ticket via the Customer Support/Customer Portal:
- Use the Customer Support form at https://help.xandr.com/ or the Customer Portal at https://support.ads.microsoft.com (as applicable for the account).
- Select Anti-Malvertising as the Request Type or category.
- In the ticket, clearly state that the domain is blocked/associated with a suspended account and needs review for release so it can be used with a new Merchant/Advertising account.
- Provide as many ownership and business details as possible, for example:
- The company that owns the domain, its main business website, business address, and other relevant details.
- A direct contact for the domain owner (email is sufficient).
- Any additional context that shows the domain is legitimate and should be released from the previous association/blocklist.
The Anti-Malvertising team will investigate and, if appropriate, contact the domain owner and adjust the blocklist/association. As a matter of policy, domains are blocklisted quickly when a potential problem is detected, and then investigated to protect publishers and reputation; only this team can remove or adjust such blocks.
If the issue is instead that the domain is blocked or associated due to malware or policy violations, submit the escalation under Anti-Malvertising in the Customer Portal and include:
- The domain and reason for escalation.
- Any third-party scanning reports (for example, from The Media Trust or RiskIQ), if available.
Further handling, including any backend or engineering actions, is done internally by the Anti-Malvertising/support teams once the ticket is submitted.
