Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
Hi MSKI,
Good day, and thank you for your clear description of the issue you are experiencing.
Based on the information you have shared, and from recent findings, this behavior appears to be a known issue affecting Legacy Outlook for Mac, rather than a configuration setting on your device.
According to Microsoft’s official guidance in Replying to or forwarding an email does not include the original message in the email body in legac…, when replying to or forwarding emails in Legacy Outlook for Mac, the original message content may appear blank, with only the headers visible. At this time, the Outlook team has confirmed that this issue is currently under investigation.
In the meantime, the recommended workaround is to switch away from Legacy Outlook. You may consider:
- Temporarily switching to the New Outlook for Mac by unchecking the Legacy Outlook or,
- Accessing your mailbox via Outlook on the web, if that is more convenient for your workflow
I understand that this situation may be a bit inconvenient, especially if you prefer working with the Legacy Outlook interface. However, I hope the information shared above helps to provide some clarity and reassurance that this appears to be a known, temporary issue, and that the Outlook team is currently looking into it.
Thank you for taking the time to raise this question. If you need any further clarification or assistance, please feel free to leave a comment under this post.
