After updating our Active Directory Central Store folder layout with the latest Windows 11 administrative templates, our legacy Windows 10 enterprise workstations have completely stopped pulling down policy modifications, dropping a core file version verification exception.

    Hi Oliver Smith,

To resolve this, you must first verify that the Central Store folder at the SYSVOL network path contains both the .admx files and their corresponding language-specific .adml files, as missing language resources are a primary cause of these version verification errors. After ensuring the store is correctly populated, execute a forced policy refresh on affected clients to synchronize their local cache with the updated definitions. If the problem persists, review the Application event log for Event ID 1096, which will identify the specific policy file causing the failure.
