    Hi Carlos Umana,

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially when those small circles appear on the screen and the Surface stops responding.

To help narrow this down, could you please share a few more details?

    • Which Surface Laptop model are you using?
    • Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
    • Do the circles appear only after Windows starts, or do they also show up before sign-in or in the Surface UEFI screen?
    • Are you using any dock, external monitor, USB device, charger, or other electronic device near the Surface when this happens?
    • Is there any screen protector, crack, liquid exposure, or recent repair on the screen?

In the meantime, you can try these steps:

    1. Disconnect accessories and restart the Surface: Please unplug any external monitor, dock, USB device, or other accessories, then restart the Surface. If it becomes unresponsive, press and hold the Power button for about 20 seconds until it shuts down and restarts. Please try to force restart step when Windows stops responding on Surface.
    2. Clean the screen: Turn off the Surface and gently clean the screen with a soft, lint-free cloth. If there is a screen protector, dirt, moisture, or pressure on the screen, it may affect touch behavior.
    3. Check for possible electronic interference: If possible, move the Surface to another room or away from nearby electronic devices, chargers, docks, or monitors and test again.
    4. Test touch in Surface UEFI: Shut down the Surface. When it is off, press and hold Volume Up, then press Power until the Surface logo appears. In UEFI, check whether the screen still shows the same circles or reacts by itself.
    5. Reinstall the touchscreen driver: If touch works normally in UEFI, open Device Manager in Windows, expand Human Interface Devices, uninstall HID-compliant touch screen and/or Intel(R) Precise Touch Device if listed, then restart the Surface. Windows should reinstall the touchscreen driver automatically.
    6. Install Surface and Windows updates: Open the Surface app and check Help & support, then install any available Windows Update or Surface firmware/driver updates.

While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
