Local Network Access ("Apps on device") site permission reverts after refresh when permission is already granted- Microsoft Edge

Environment

•	Microsoft Edge Version: 149.0.4022.69

•	Windows managed device and personal macOS device

•	Same behavior observed on both

Steps to reproduce

1.	Open a site that has local-network-access permission in the granted state.

2.	Open Site Permissions for the site.

3.	Change "Sites can ask to connect to any device on your local network" from Allow to Block.

4.	Refresh the settings page.

Observed

The permission reverts to Allow after refresh.

If the permission starts in the prompt state, changing it through the settings UI persists correctly after refresh.

Question

Is this expected behavior for the Local Network Access permission, or is the Site Permissions UI failing to persist the updated value when the permission is already granted?

    Welcome Shreyansh Gautam,

I understand how frustrating it can be when the Local Network Access (Apps on device) site permission appears to revert to Allow after refreshing the Site Permissions page, even after changing it to Block.

Before we proceed, I would like to clarify a couple of things:

    • Could you confirm whether this behavior occurs on all websites that have previously been granted Local Network Access permission, or only on a specific site?
    • Does the issue persist when testing in an InPrivate window or a newly created Edge profile?
    • Are you using personal or work/school account?

I look forward to your reply so we can continue working together to address the issue.
