    Hi, I'm John!

What exact error message you're encountering when trying to send?

Are you using Outlook Classic (desktop app)?

If so, you can try the "Manual Workaround" provided in this Microsoft article:

    https://support.microsoft.com/office/unable-to-add-a-gmail-account-to-classic-outlook-4d9530c5-3f40-4e6d-9b45-4477f160828f

Please follow the steps under "Manual Workaround" and then restart Outlook after completing them.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks :)

Use the following checks and fixes for a Gmail account that is not receiving mail in classic Outlook for Windows.

    1. Verify IMAP is enabled in Gmail
      1. In a browser, go to Gmail.
      2. Select the gear icon > Settings.
      3. Go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
      4. Under IMAP access, make sure Enable IMAP is selected.
      5. Select Save Changes.
    2. Ensure folders are exposed over IMAP
      1. In Gmail, go to Settings again.
      2. Select the Labels tab.
      3. Confirm Show in IMAP is selected for Inbox, Sent Mail, Trash, and All Mail (and any other labels that should appear in Outlook).
    3. Confirm server settings in Outlook If the account is configured as IMAP, verify these values in the account settings:
      • Incoming (IMAP) server: imap.gmail.com, SSL required, port 993.
      • Outgoing (SMTP) server: smtp.gmail.com, SSL required, and TLS if available; port 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS/STARTTLS).
      • Authentication required for SMTP.
      • Username is the full Gmail address and the correct password is used. Also ensure Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unchecked for the IMAP account.
    4. Re-add the Gmail account in classic Outlook If the account still does not receive messages:
      1. Open Control Panel.
      2. Select Mail.
      3. Select Email Accounts….
      4. Remove the existing Gmail account entry.
      5. Select New and enter name, Gmail address, and password.
      6. Follow the prompts to complete setup. Outlook may ask for the password again during setup.
    5. Refresh/sync after changes After enabling IMAP and labels in Gmail and correcting Outlook settings, allow up to about 15 minutes for Outlook to refresh and start syncing messages and folders.

If the account is configured as POP instead of IMAP and suddenly stopped receiving, removing the Gmail account from Outlook and re-adding it with the correct POP/SMTP settings and a fresh Gmail app password (if used) can restore mail flow.
