    Hi Pat Peterson,

Please try some suggestions bellow to see if the problem can be fixed:

    • If you're using a laptop, please turn off your computer then press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. Your laptop will reinitiate devices and may recognize the Bluetooth device again.
    • Navigate to your laptop or motherboard support page to download and install latest Bluetooth drivers.

If any of the above suggestions can help, you don't need to do the rest.

In case above suggestions cannot help, please give me your Windows version and laptop model.

If you have any updated information, please feel free to let me know.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. Is Bluetooth missing completely from Settings > Bluetooth & devices, or do you see Bluetooth listed but there is no On/Off toggle?
    2. What Windows version and build are you running? Press Windows key + R, type winver and share the results.
    3. What troubleshooting steps have you already tried so far? This will help me avoid recommending them again.

Follow these steps on the Windows laptop to restore Bluetooth and reconnect to the Cricut Joy:

    1. Verify the laptop has Bluetooth
    • Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • If the Bluetooth setting is missing, the laptop might not have a Bluetooth adapter, or its driver is not installed.
      • In that case, install the correct Bluetooth driver from the laptop manufacturer, then check Settings > Bluetooth & devices again.
    1. Turn Bluetooth off and on
    • In Settings > Bluetooth & devices, locate the Bluetooth toggle.
    • Switch Bluetooth Off, wait about 10 seconds, then switch it On again.
    • If using Windows 11, Bluetooth can also be toggled from quick settings:
      • Select the Network, Sound, or Battery icon on the right side of the taskbar.
      • Select the Bluetooth tile to turn it On.
    1. Make the PC discoverable (Windows 11)
    • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
    • Under Device settings > Bluetooth devices discovery, choose Advanced so all Bluetooth devices (including Cricut Joy) can be found.
    1. Prepare the Cricut Joy
    • Ensure the Cricut Joy is powered on, not in sleep mode, and close to the laptop.
    • If it has a Bluetooth button or pairing mode, enable it so the device is discoverable.
    1. Remove and re-add the Cricut Joy
    • In Settings > Bluetooth & devices (or Devices > Bluetooth & other devices on Windows 10):
      1. If the Cricut Joy appears under Other devices or similar, select it and choose Remove device.
      2. Confirm removal.
      3. Select Add device (or Add Bluetooth or other device), choose Bluetooth, and select the Cricut Joy when it appears.
    1. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter (recommended)
    • Open the Get Help app and run the Bluetooth troubleshooter using the Run the troubleshooter in Get Help option from the Bluetooth support article. It will automatically diagnose and attempt to fix Bluetooth issues.
    1. Restart the PC
    • If Bluetooth still does not appear or the Cricut Joy will not connect, restart the PC:
      • Select Start > Power > Restart.
      • After restart, repeat steps 2–5.

If the Bluetooth toggle is still missing after installing drivers and restarting, the device may not support Bluetooth and would require a separate Bluetooth adapter to connect to the Cricut Joy.
